Dr Alex Capano is the first doctoral candidate of any discipline to focus on comprehensive cannabinoid science. She is CSO of Ecofibre Limited and Ananda Hemp. Dr Capano published a study on the therapeutic cannabinoids potential to reduce opioid use in chronic pain patients. Current phase II clinical trials and in vivo studies include CBS’s effects on neuropathic pain, agitation in dementia patients, endometriosis, and substance use disorders, as well as the industrial and antimicrobial applications of cannabinoids. She is also a senior fellow at Thomas Jefferson University and a board certified family nurse practitioner. Other degrees include a BS from the University of Miami; a BSN and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania and a DNP from Thomas Jefferson University.
