Cancer Voices fully supports United in Compassion’s initiative towards enabling dignified alleviation of suffering with compassion and empathy. The conundrum of access to medical Cannabis for those who would benefit from it, needs to be solved as soon as possible. As someone with advanced cancer I would very much like to be able to legally use it when and if I need it, just as I would any other medical drug which might help me manage cancer symptoms and drug side effects.

I have not reached that stage yet, but we at Cancer Voices are aware that many people already benefit from medicinal Cannabis, and that many others find the curious legal situation hard to deal with. Compassionate access may fill that gap. It makes no sense at all that it is not possible for us to work out a solution, and quickly.
